James Ladue [Ladoo in Volume II] Meader, son of Robert G. Meader (1815-1885) [0207] and Elizabeth McChesney (1810-1875), was born in Sandy Hill, Washington, NY March 16, 1838 and died in Watson Township, MI April 1, 1915. He went to Michigan just before the Civil War.
1) Matilda Mabb of Easton, NY, on September 17, 1862 in the Easton area. She was born in 1844 and died June 11, 1863 and was buried in the Easton Dutch Reformed Cemetery in Easton. There were no children of this marriage.
2) Frances Monroe in Otsego, MI on December 25, 1869. She was born November 1, 1852 near Glens Falls, NY and died May 8, 1936 in Allegan County.
